I. Product Description

AI Voice Translate (hereinafter referred to as "the Software") is a professional recording, translation and AI language service tool.

This Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as "this Policy") is intended to inform you (hereinafter referred to as "user") of how we collect, use, store, protect your personal information, and your rights regarding your personal information. By downloading this application from the Apple App Store, authorizing necessary permissions such as microphone and storage, and then using it, you are deemed to have fully read, understood and voluntarily agreed to all terms of this Policy; if you do not agree to any content of this Policy, please stop using this application immediately.

(I) Scope of Application

1. This Policy applies only to information collected by this application through device functions (microphone, storage, network) and does not apply to the following circumstances:
   • Information collected offline;
   • Information collected by third-party services (third parties will operate in accordance with their own privacy policies; see the appendix Third-Party SDK List (API Service List) for specific service providers and rules).
2. When you access third-party services through this application, you need to review the third party's privacy policy yourself, and the relevant risks are borne by you.

(II) Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

1. The establishment, performance, interpretation and dispute resolution of this Policy shall be governed by the laws of the mainland of the People's Republic of China (excluding all conflict of law rules).
2. Any dispute arising from this Policy shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation between the parties; if negotiation fails, either party has the right to file a lawsuit with the people's court of the defendant's domicile.

II. Basic Principles of Personal Information Processing

We strictly follow the following principles in processing your personal information to ensure lawful compliance:

1. Principle of Lawfulness: All collection and use of information complies with laws and regulations such as the Personal Information Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, and does not circumvent legal responsibilities;
2. Principle of Fairness: The purposes of information processing are genuine and clear, and we do not obtain your authorization through fraud or misleading means;
3. Principle of Necessity: We only collect the minimum scope of information necessary to achieve the functions of this application, and do not collect data unrelated to core functions;
4. Principle of Good Faith: We truthfully inform you of information processing rules, do not conceal data uses or mislead your understanding of data security;
5. Principle of Security: We adopt industry-standard security measures to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure or alteration.

III. Information Collection Scope and Permission Description

We only collect information necessary to achieve the functions of this application, and all collection is based on clear notification and your active authorization, as detailed below:

(I) Core Function Related Information

Recording and AI Processing Information: To achieve recording, AI recognition and translation functions, you need to authorize corresponding permissions and we collect the following information:

• Microphone Permission: Used to collect audio signals to provide raw material for AI speech recognition and real-time translation; collected only when you start the recording function, no background audio data collection when not recording;
• Storage Permission: Used to write recording files and AI translation results to device storage space, does not batch scan or store other files on the device;
• Network Permission: Used for AI translation online functions and software security updates; after turning off, online functions cannot be used, but basic recording functions remain available.
• Camera Permission: Used to capture images of text to be translated (photo translation), and for OCR recognition image collection; enabled only when you actively use the photo translation function.

1. Feedback and Consultation Information: If you provide feedback via email, you may actively provide information including: device model, system version, problem description, relevant screenshots. Such information is only used to handle your request and is not associated with other data.

(II) Automatically Collected Non-Identifiable Information

During your use of this application, we will automatically collect the following anonymized data for function adaptation and troubleshooting, which does not contain sensitive personal information:

1. Basic Device Information: Device model, system version, application version number, used to optimize function compatibility for different devices;
2. Function Usage Logs: Frequency of use of various functions, success/failure status of launches, used to locate fault scenarios;
3. AI Function Data: Language selection for AI translation, used to iterate AI algorithms.

All the above information is anonymized and cannot be linked to your personal identity. It is only used for product optimization, not for commercial marketing.

(III) Paid Service Related Information

If you purchase paid services of this application, the payment process is completed by Apple Inc. through the in-app purchase interface:

• We only obtain anonymized transaction vouchers (such as purchased items, subscription validity period, order status) through the iOS system API to verify your paid entitlements;
• We do not collect your payment sensitive information (such as bank card number, payment password, verification code); such information is stored and protected by Apple Inc. under its Apple Privacy Policy (Legal - Privacy Policy - Apple).

(IV) Data Sharing Description with Third-Party AI Services

To provide you with audio-to-text and text translation functions, this application calls APIs of third-party AI services. The specific description is as follows:

• The above third-party AI services are provided by independent service providers, and their data processing activities are subject to their own privacy policies.
• We only send corresponding data to third parties when you actively use the audio-to-text or translation functions. Without your explicit permission, we will not send any data in advance or in the background.
• When you first use the above functions, we will inform you of the data transmission situation through a pop-up window and obtain your consent. You have the right to refuse; after refusal, the corresponding functions will be unavailable, but other functions will not be affected.

IV. Information Usage Rules

The information we collect is only used for the following purposes, not for other scenarios not stated in this Policy, and all usage complies with the "minimum necessary" principle:

(I) Core Function Implementation

1. Recording and AI Services: Audio data collected by the microphone is used for AI speech recognition, real-time translation, simultaneous interpretation. When you use the "audio-to-text" function, audio data will be sent to Volcano Engine via API for recognition; when you use the "text translation" function, text data will be sent to Doubao via API for translation. After recognition and translation are completed, data is deleted immediately and not retained on third-party servers.
2. Data Storage and Management: Information collected by storage permission is used to save recording files and translation results, facilitating your viewing or exporting at any time;
3. Online Function Support: Network status information collected by network permission is used to ensure AI translation vocabulary updates, simultaneous interpretation real-time response, and software security upgrades.

(II) Product Optimization and Troubleshooting

1. Basic device information and function usage logs are anonymized and used to analyze high-frequency demands and fix faults;
2. AI function data is used to optimize algorithms and improve function experience;
3. Feedback and consultation information is used to solve your problems in a targeted manner and summarize common issues to optimize services.

(III) Exceptions to Obtaining Authorization Consent

According to relevant laws and regulations, collecting your personal information in the following circumstances does not require your authorization consent:

(1) Related to the data controller's performance of obligations under laws and regulations;

(2) Directly related to national security and national defense security;

(3) Directly related to public safety, public health, and major public interests;

(4) Directly related to criminal investigations, prosecutions, trials, and enforcement of judgments;

(5) For protecting the life, property and other major legitimate rights and interests of the data subject or other individuals, but it is difficult to obtain the individual's authorization consent;

(6) The personal information involved is voluntarily disclosed to the public by the data subject;

(7) Necessary for concluding and performing a contract at the request of the data subject;

(8) Personal information collected from legally publicly disclosed information, such as lawful news reports, government information disclosure channels;

(9) Necessary for maintaining the safe and stable operation of the provided product or service, such as discovering and disposing of faults in the product or service.

V. Information Storage and Security Protection

(I) Storage Rules

1. Storage Location:

• Local data (AI translation results, device information): Stored locally on your device, not cross-border transmitted;
• Anonymized data (function usage logs, device information): Stored on domestic servers for statistical analysis.

2. Storage Period:

• Local data: Retained until you uninstall this application or manually delete through device settings.

(II) Security Protection Measures

1. Local Data Encryption: Recording files and translation results stored on the device are encrypted using system keys to prevent illegal reading by other applications;
2. Permission Management: This application only requests necessary permissions, not irrelevant ones; you can withdraw authorization at any time through "Settings - Privacy & Security - AI Voice Translate";
3. Emergency Response: In the event of an information security incident, we will immediately initiate a plan:
   • Block the leakage channel;
   • Inform you of the incident and response measures through in-app prompts or email;
   • If service suspension is required, notify you 3 days in advance.
4. Data Transmission Security: Audio and text data sent to Volcano Engine and Doubao are encrypted using HTTPS/TLS. We have signed data processing agreements with the above third parties, requiring them to process data only for the purposes agreed in this Policy and not to use it for any other purposes (including model training, advertising).

(III) Your Security Precautions

1. Please download this application from the Apple App Store, avoid using third-party cracked versions, to prevent malicious programs from stealing local recordings;
2. If your device is lost or your account is abnormal, it is recommended to remotely lock the device through the system to protect sensitive recording content;
3. Regularly clean up unused recordings through "Settings - Data Management - Clear All Data" to reduce privacy leakage risks.
4. Before using photo translation or uploading audio/images to this application for processing, try to avoid capturing or uploading content containing others' privacy, ID numbers, bank card numbers and other sensitive information.

VI. Information Sharing and Transfer

We strictly restrict the sharing and transfer of information, and do not actively disclose your personal information to any third party, except in the following statutory or agreed circumstances:

(I) Information Sharing

1. To achieve audio-to-text and text translation functions, we will send your audio data to Volcano Engine (Volcano Speech Recognition - Express Edition) and your text data to Doubao (doubao-seed-translation). For specific types of data sent, purposes, and recipients, see Article III of this Policy. We sign confidentiality agreements with third parties, requiring them to process data only for the authorized purposes and not for any other purposes.
2. Legal and Administrative Requirements: If required by laws and regulations, court summons or government departments, we only provide necessary data within the statutory scope and require the recipient to keep the information confidential.
3. Protection of Legal Rights and Interests: In emergency situations to protect your or other users' rights, public interests, we may share de-identified information with relevant parties, and only disclose within the statutory scope.

(II) Information Transfer

We do not transfer your personal information, except in the following circumstances:

1. With your explicit written consent;
2. Involving asset changes such as corporate merger, acquisition, bankruptcy liquidation, then your information (excluding recordings and translation results) will be part of the transferred assets, and we will require the transferee to continue to comply with this Policy; if the purpose of use changes, we need to re-obtain your consent.

VII. Your Information Rights and How to Exercise Them

You have the right to query, correct, delete, withdraw authorization, etc. regarding your personal information, and can exercise them independently through the following methods:

Permission Withdrawal and Service Cessation

1. Permission Withdrawal: Go to "Settings - Privacy & Security - AI Voice Translate" to turn off microphone, storage, network, notification and other permissions; after withdrawal, corresponding functions cannot be used, but does not affect previously stored information;
2. Service Cessation: Uninstalling this application will stop all information processing activities, and local data on the device will be deleted (please back up important files in advance).

Response to Requests

1. Before processing your request, we may require you to provide identity proof (such as device screenshot, email used for feedback) for verification before processing;
2. We may reject requests in the following circumstances:
   • The request involves others' privacy;
   • The request violates laws and regulations;
   • Technically infeasible.

(III) Right to Delete Regarding Third-Party Data Processing

If you wish to delete data already sent to Volcano Engine or Doubao, please note: such data is only used temporarily during processing and is automatically deleted upon service completion. We cannot control the immediate deletion by third-party service providers, but have contractually required them not to retain any data. For further confirmation, you can contact us through the means at the end of this Policy, and we will assist you in communicating with the third party.

VIII. Protection of Minors' Personal Information

This application does not target minors under 14 years of age, and takes additional protective measures for minors' information:

1. Usage Requirements: Minors under 14 years of age shall not use this application; if you are a person with limited civil capacity aged 14 to under 18, before using this application (especially paid functions), you must read this Policy accompanied by your legal guardian and obtain the guardian's consent;
2. Data Deletion: If we find that minors' information has been collected without guardian consent, we will delete the relevant data within 7 working days after verification; guardians can contact us to assist in deleting minors' local files (guardian identity proof and parent-child relationship proof required).

IX. Policy Updates and Contact Us

Policy Updates

We may revise this Policy based on legal changes, function iterations:

1. Non-material Changes (such as wording optimization, updating SDK list): Directly updated on the "Settings - Privacy Policy" page of this application; your continued use is deemed as acceptance;
2. Material Changes: Notified through in-app pop-ups or emails.

2. Matters not covered in this Policy shall be governed by the relevant laws and regulations of the People's Republic of China;
3. The right to interpret this Policy ultimately belongs to the operator of this application.
